Yves Plovier, 55 years old, is the manager of four flower shops in Brussels. Nobilis is his latest, opened 7 years ago in March 2013. It is located in Woluwe-saint-Pierre on Avenue Parmentier.

 

Since he was 8 years old, Yves has been immersed in flowers thanks to his parents who owned a flower shop in Berchem-Saint-Agathe. He learned a lot about the florist profession while working for a wholesaler in Holland.

 

According to Yves, being a good florist means "being a craftsman in his job; meaning : knowing that a certain type of flower corresponds to a certain season, knowing how to cut flowers, ...". 

 

He describes his Nobilis store as contemporary, standing out from his other boutiques such as the Jardins du Luxembourg and Cap Vert.

Yves tells us that the name "Nobilis" comes from the king of pine trees, the blue fir, which represents one of the most beautiful pine trees because of its incredible smell and its ability to be one of the only ones not to cry.

 

What makes Yves happy on a daily basis is making his boutiques shine and facing challenges during events. "Creativity, looking for  and creating what the client needs and wants, this is what motivates me the most".

 

Yves is therefore passionate about his work, he devotes all his time to it!

By going to the flowers market four times a week, he guarantees his clients an unstoppable freshness for his flowers and plants.

He also takes care of his staff, who are "long-serving in all the shops", he says.
